“to come together and unite” Our vision of CONVERGE is that we would continually be converging with these four components. With God (James 4:8, Matthew 22:37) Much of what we do revolves around this concept. If we aren’t connecting with God then we really aren’t any different than a club or recreation facility. We believe converging with God should be one of our highest callings and our ministry reflects that. With the Body (I Thessalonians 4:9-10, I Corinthians 12:12) Scripture gives us the image of a human body as an illustration of Christians (the Church) A human body needs its many parts, and Christians need each other. As strange as it might sound, having a relationship with God is not enough. We believe our ministry should assist Christians in converging with each other. With Culture (John 17:14-18) Christ has called us to be not of this world but He also prayed that we would be in this world. We cannot impact a world that we are not relevant to. Our ministry strives to be relevant to high school culture without compromising our call to be holy. With different worldviews (John 1:14) Christians view the world differently than non-Christians. Not everybody sees the beaches as God’s creation, Scripture as God’s Word, people made in His image, etc. Christ converged with those of different worldviews and so should we.
